Yi Rong: New Special Issue on MR-Linac 2026 Consortium

Yi Rong, Professor and Lead Photon Physicist at Mayo Clinic, Editor in Chief at American Association of Physicists in Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Excited to announce another upcoming Special Issue in the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics (JACMP): ‘MR-Linac 2026: Consortium Highlights and Beyond.’

This Special Issue is developed in close collaboration with the upcoming MR-Linac Consortium meeting in 2026 and aims to capture the latest clinical and technological advances in MR-guided radiotherapy. We especially encourage presenters and invited speakers at the Consortium meeting to expand their work into full peer-reviewed publications and share their innovations with the broader community. Submissions are also open to all groups contributing to MR-Linac research and clinical applications.

We sincerely thank the MR-Linac Consortium meeting organizers for their strong support and partnership in making this initiative possible. This Special Issue will be managed by our Guest Editors, Dr. Jinzhong Yang and Dr. Neelam Tyagi, as well as our Section Editors, Drs. Mu-han Lin, Guillaume Landry, and Kuo Men.

Topics will include adaptive radiotherapy, AI integration, MR-based dosimetry, workflow optimization, clinical implementation, MR image sequence development and optimization, and related areas, reflecting the rapidly evolving MR-Linac landscape. The official Call for Papers will be released soon with full details.

We look forward to showcasing impactful work from across the community and advancing MR-guided radiotherapy together.”
