YesRx, an interconnected system of cancer drug repository (CDR) programs at healthcare sites in Michigan, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Good News: Today the State of Michigan invested in cancer patients.
YesRx is receiving $1 million in state funding so we can keep getting life-saving medication to patients at no cost, and continue preventing millions of dollars of medication from going to waste.
This is bipartisan agreement for the greater good. YesRx is grateful to lawmakers for saying Yes! – so no patient in Michigan goes without cancer treatment they can’t afford.
Thank you to the community of patients, families, advocates, partners, and legislators who got us here.”
Siobhan Norman, Founder and CEO of YesRx, shared YesRx’s post on LinkedIn, adding:
“So much gratitude to all our change-making partners in this work to serve thousands of people across our State and lay the foundation for the future health of our communities.
So proud to have been born and raised in Michigan, and now able to continue helping people and communities across our great state.”
Emily Mackler, Founder/CMO at YesRx, and Co-Director of UMCOP-CIRCLE, also shared YesRx’s post on LinkedIn:
“On this Independence Day Weekend as we celebrate a government established to be ‘of the people, by the people, and for the people’ I’m so grateful for this State investment in the people of Michigan who face the consequences of cancer, financial toxicity, and unnecessary medication waste.
Grateful to all our partners for sharing this mission and getting us here!”
