READI Strengthen Participation of Underserved and Underrepresented Populations in Clinical Studies – YCE

Youth Cancer Europe (YCE) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“The IHI READI Project is a six-year public-private European initiative working to strengthen participation of underserved and underrepresented populations in clinical studies.

Clinical studies generate the evidence that shapes future healthcare. Strengthening representative participation helps ensure that research reflects real-world needs and experiences. READI looks at where gaps exist, examines structural barriers, develops practical tools and training, tests more inclusive approaches in pilot studies, and builds patient-centred digital solutions.

Within READI, Youth Cancer Europe contributes to defining how underserved and underrepresented populations are understood in practice, identifying real-world barriers to participation, supporting training on meaningful patient engagement and health literacy, and working on community mapping, trust-building and communication.

Our role is to bring lived experience into how inclusiveness is designed and applied.”
