“We are recruiting faculty members in our Thoracic Head and Neck Medical Oncology (THNMO) Department at The University of Texas․

There are multiple positions open. We’re searching for physician-scientists, clinical investigators, and master clinicians in the areas of precision oncology, immune oncology, small cell lung cancer, prevention, and rare cancer spaces.

The Department of Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology (THNMO) at MD Anderson Cancer Center invites applicants for a full-time academic appointment at the level of Assistant Professor focused on thoracic clinical care and research. This physician position offers the opportunity for professional growth and development by joining an exciting and active group of clinicians, physician-scientists, and clinical, basic science, and translational investigators.

The successful candidate will closely interact with the many ongoing research programs of the department, focusing on prevention, precision oncology, immune oncology, biomarker development, and other projects in support of precision therapy for thoracic malignancies. The faculty member will have access to THNMO’s substantial patient resources, core facilities, animal models, molecular pathology laboratories, and educational/training programs.

THNMO is currently supported by a NIH Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPORE) and other programmatic and peer-reviewed grants that facilitate the department’s translational research initiatives.”
