World Radiotherapy Awareness Day shared on LinkedIn:
“Last week, we held our second WRAD Regional Champions Meeting, bringing together passionate advocates and radiotherapy professionals from around the world to share ideas and preparations for World Radiotherapy Awareness Day 2026.
The meeting explored a wide range of topics, including:
- Improving public understanding of the radiotherapy patient journey
- Amplifying patient voices and personal experiences
- Engaging students, communities and the future radiotherapy workforce
- Challenging myths and misconceptions through accessible education
- Strengthening collaboration to advocate for equitable access to safe, high-quality radiotherapy
Regional Champions also shared inspiring plans from across Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe; from hospital tours, patient and caregiver sessions and educational campaigns to quizzes, webinars, community activities and even an international radiotherapy-themed bake-off!
