World Child Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD), we are highlighting why care for children with cancer must extend beyond the hospital ward.
During a recent visit to Ghana, partners saw this approach in action at the Sunshine Hostel, where children undergoing cancer treatment and their families can stay close to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Safe accommodation, nutritious meals, space for play, and practical support for caregivers help families remain on treatment with dignity. This is what people-centred care looks like in practice.
