“The Winn Awards were proud to be a part of the American Association for Cancer Research’s Conference on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities this week, bringing the perspectives of our leadership and scholars to important conversations about the future of cancer research.
Dr. Rob Winn participated in ‘Charting the Path Forward: Lessons and Next Steps from the AACR Cancer Disparities Progress Report,‘ exploring priorities for advancing progress against cancer disparities.
Dr. Megan Becker moderated a panel featuring three Winn Career Development Award (Winn CDA) scholars: Drs. Pamela Allen, Sonikpreet Aulakh, and Dionisia Quiroga. The session allowed attendees to hear directly from scholars on how the program is impacting the ways clinical researchers are engaging underserved populations and improving representation in clinical trials.
