“Seeing this on my desk this morning brought back memories of what peer review was like in the late 90’s and early 2000’s at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
I started as an Ad Hoc member of the NIH/NCI Path B study section in 1998 and later served a 4-year term as a Full Member. Path B was one of very few NIH/NCI cancer study section that was focused on tumor biology, invasion and metastasis. The current TPM and MONC study sections arose from Path B and I was a member of those panels at their beginnings along with BMCT-C that I joined and later chaired for several years as it became MCT-2.”
