Wafik S. El-Deiry: Enjoyed Speaking About My Career Path at Brown University

Wafik S. El-Deiry, Director of Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University and Chair of the WIN Consortium in Cancer Personalized Medicine, shared a post on X:

“Enjoyed speaking at this year‘s pre-college class led by Dr. Kimberly Meza and her assistants at Brown University about my career path and some important milestones and decision points throughout.

The students were from all over the country as well as abroad and probably half are aspiring physician-scientists. On my way to give the lecture at Brown’s BioMed Center I came across a letter by the elevator written by Sir William Osler, who I admire.

Also, today I wore my DNA double helix tie just for these students who I hope I inspired. None of the students are photographed because they are all still minors.”
