Wafik S. El-Deiry, Director of Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University and Chair of the WIN Consortium in Cancer Personalized Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A decade ago in 2016 I wrote about reducing obstacles in clinical research on cancer as a cancer moonshot idea but in 2026 the challenges largely remain. Challenges occur with available results and further manifest to the detriment of many patients who can’t or don’t benefit from advances in precision oncology because molecular testing is not currently covered for all patients with cancer and drugs often prompted by test results are neither available nor covered.”
