[Providence, Rhode Island, October 15, 2026] – p53-Therapeutics, Inc., a biotechnology and biopharmaceutical company developing a new class of small molecule cancer therapeutics targeting TP53- deficient or TP53-mutant cancers, announced its participation in the WIN Consortium’s 2026 Symposium, held October 2-3 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence. The symposium, themed ‘Precision Oncology: Innovation and Equity Across the Globe,’ brought together the world’s leading clinicians, researchers, data scientists, regulators, industry representatives, and patient advocates from around the world to discuss advances in precision oncology and their implementation in clinical practice.
p53-Therapeutics was a Silver Sponsor of 2026 WIN Symposium and co-hosted the conference’s pre- Global Leaders in Precision Oncology at 2026 WIN Symposium, Rhode Island meeting welcome reception with Ocean State Labs at Ocean State Labs’ Providence facility on October 1st. Ocean State Labs is Rhode Island’s first commercial life science incubator, located at 150 Richmond Street in Providence’s Innovation District, and p53-Therapeutics is a Foundational Tenant with research lab facilities and recently expanded offices to accommodate its growing team in providence, Rhode Island.
‘As the Chair of the international WIN Consortium in Personalized Cancer Medicine, I was delighted to bring this global community to Rhode Island, to provide a wonderful setting for the global precision oncology community to connect, exchange ideas, and build collaborations,’ said Wafik S. EI-Deiry, Founder and Chairman of p53-Therapeutics. ‘We were pleased to welcome attendees to Ocean State Labs alongside our co-host OSL and to support a lively interactive program to translate scientific innovation into
better outcomes for patients.’
At the symposium, p53-Therapeutics presented a poster titled ‘Translating NCI-8 into Precision Oncology?’ The poster was part of the
conference’s scientific program, which P53 Translating NCI-8 into Precision Oncology highlighted research across genomics, translational science, biomarker-driven cancer care, novel therapeutics, and clinical implementation.
At the 2026 WIN Symposium, held on October 2-3, 2026 at the Rhode Island Convention Center, the leadership of p53- Therapeutics participated in an Industry Perspectives Session chaired by Bob Cormier, President and CEO of the Rhode Island Life Science Hub (RILSH). Link to panel discussion:
‘The panel was a valuable opportunity to discuss how advances in genomics and next-generation drug development can be translated into more informed, patient-centered approaches to oncology,’ said Bradley Sander, CEO of p53-Therapeutics. ‘We appreciated the chance to exchange perspectives with leaders from across the industry.’
‘Participating in WIN 2026 reflects P53’s commitment to engaging with clinicians, researchers, and partners shaping the future of precision oncology,’ said Dr. Emile Youssef of p53-Therapeutics. ‘We appreciated the opportunity to share our work and learn from leaders across the field.’ Other members of the p53-Therapeutics team participated in the 2026 WIN Symposium for an amazing opportunity to learn about the latest advances in precision oncology, and the issues patients face globally. It was a wonderful opportunity for the p53-Therapeutics team to network with the global precision oncology community and to contribute as a major sponsor to this year’s event here in Rhode Island.

About p53-Therapeutics, Inc.
The company’s two lead programs, small molecules P53 targeting cancers characterized by TP53 mutations, are currently being evaluated in Investigational New Drug (IND)-enabling studies. p53-Therapeutics was awarded funding through the Rhode Island New Business Attraction Program to support IND-enabling studies and to facilitate its move to the Rhode Island. The award, provided through the Rhode Island Life Science Hub (RILSH), offers financial support for life sciences companies establishing a presence in Rhode Island. RILSH was established by Rhode Island Governor Daniel McKee and Speaker of the House of Representatives Joseph Shekarchi, in 2023 with a $45 million investment in the life sciences, and a mandate to create business development opportunities for companies, and develop much-needed wet lab incubator spaces.
p53-Therapeutics is a foundational tenant at Ocean State Labs, powered by Portal Innovations. The company has laboratory space and office space for its workforce and looks forward to becoming part of the vibrant life sciences ecosystem in Rhode Island. The company is collaborating with Provid Pharmaceuticals for large scale drug synthesis as well as numerous analogs of lead compounds in the p53-Therapeutics pipeline. p53-Therapeutics, Inc. is developing a new class of small molecule cancer therapeutics to effectively bypass mutations in the p53 tumor suppressor gene to treat patients with cancer.
TP53 mutations occur frequently across tumor types. TP53 is mutated in most human cancers and at an even higher frequency among difficult to treat cancers and in patients that fail first-line therapies. Particularly high mutation rates occur in head and neck, ovarian, colorectal, lung and brain cancer, among others. P53-Therapeutics uses a novel approach with candidate drugs that biochemically and functionally replace this most important cancer suppressor to address therapy resistance in the clinic. The Company is developing molecules to target a broad range of p53-mutated cancers based on compelling pre-clinical safety, efficacy and biomarker data with line of sight to IND filing and strong IP position.”
