Wafaa M Rashed, Chair and Founder of Pan-African PGS Education and Research Initiative, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Leader Repeat Vision
PAPERI – From Momentum to Movement
We have completed powerful milestones together:
- Policy Advocacy in Genetics and Genomics
- Ensemble – PAPERI Train-the-Trainer.
- SSI-PAPERI Scientific Writing Workshop.
- Basics of Polygenic Score.
- ClinGen-PAPERI Workshop.
These were not just workshops.
They were statements.
I am incredibly proud of each of you – for your effort, persistence , resilience , and commitment.
Proud of you as advocates.
As teaching assistants.
As moderators.
As blog writers.
As leaders in the making.
But now – we move forward.
It is time to show presence.
It is time to apply , to publish , to advocate , to speak louder.
To demonstrate that our work is not occasional – it is continuous .
- Remember the message we stood for in December 2025:
- Genomics Policy for Africa – By Africans.
- Africa is ready not only to participate – but to lead.
- Africa is speaking – the world must listen.
That message was not a campaign.
It is our commitment.
Let’s continue.
Let’s push harder.
Let’s show the world what African genomics leadership looks like.
PAPERI is not slowing down. We are just getting started.”
