“Nice paper on abdo/pelvic sarcoma in Advances from the MDACC team. Well planned and delivered VMAT is incredibly safe, very low toxicity risk. Also a demonstration of how high grade liposarcoma locally recurs a lot! Don’t sleep on pre-op radiation for these folks.
STRASS 1 taught important lessons but the quality of radiation in that study was likely lower than US average (IMO) These are hard plans. Surgeons should work closely with their radiation oncologists and consider radiation when margins are a concern.”
