Vlad Lupu, ESMO Certified Oncology Resident at Oncohelp Oncology Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Still buzzing from last weekend!
I had the privilege of curating the scientific Breast Cancer Session at the 6th National Scientific Forum of the Romanian Young Oncologists, held in the beautiful city of Craiova.
- We had surgery and radiotherapy for the very early luminal tumors, with Calin-Cristian Tohatan and Daniela Sandu.
- Afterwards, Vlad Afrăsânie extensively discussed clinical trial design, setting the stage for the main event,
- The absolutely wonderful talk held by our esteemed guest and friend, Dario Trapani, whose presentation made sure we were all taking photos and notes on how trial design will influence the landscape of Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
- Inevitabily, it left me with a very difficult task of following after Dario with a subject that is dear to me – De-escalation strategies in early HER2-positive disease.
- Finally, Razvan Adrian Negreanu closed our session with showing us what options do we have after Trastuzumab Deruxtecan treatment in HER2-positie disease – a subject of increasing importance in our times.
I want to thank all the great speakers that made this possible, through hitting every single important topic from the finest of angles and making this an absolute blast. I would also like to thank Prof. Laura Mazilu for her unwavering support and for co-chairing this session, on behalf of Societatea Nationala de Oncologie Medicala din Romania.
Our RYO – Romanian Young Oncologists team will make sure that we will build upon these wonderful moments!”
