“As per usual, an exceptional meeting this last weekend at the European School of Oncology Refresher Course on Breast Cancer, in Sofia!
- The strongest point of all the ESO events is allowing enough time for open talks, constructive critique and productive exchange of ideas, which I have always considered invaluable in today’s world.
- The meeting encompassed everything needed from such a course, especially stressing the seamless integration of the surgery, pathology, radiotherapy and genetics input in the comprehensive care of breast cancer patients.
- Spending these days in Sofia allowed for meeting old friends, many of whom I’ve met at various European School of Oncology events. This always feels special, like a big family coming together.
Finally, I must thank Dolores and Elena Fiore for the very astute organising of the course. The always-friendly and constructive approach was felt at every level and further strengthened the scope of such courses!”
