Vlad Lupu: Highlighting Neoadjuvant Breast Cancer Challenges in ESKD at SNOMR

Vlad Lupu, ESMO Certified Oncology Resident at Oncohelp Oncology Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“It is hard to properly express how honored I was to be able to present the challenges that end-stage kidney disease brings in the neoadjuvant treatment of Breast Cancer to a packed theatre hall at the Societatea Nationala de Oncologie Medicala din Romania Annual Congress, held in the famous Sinaia Casino, last weekend. And for this, I must extend my immense gratitude to the Breast Cancer Working Group for inviting me to take part in this wonderful session!

Additionally, I was able to present my poster on integrating the INTERLACE regimen at Asociatia Oncohelp Oncology Center in the treatment of locally advanced Cervical Cancer.

  •  The 2025 edition of the SNOMR Congress marked a tremendous celebration of the advancements of our national society, now one of the most recognizable and respected in our country. With each year, the growth is unmistakable, the quality of the speakers and the presentations push further heights and we can only hope to build on this upwards trend.
  •  This edition also marked the first elections of the RYO – Romanian Young Oncologists, an essential wing of the society, focused on implementing projects aimed at the Oncologists under the age of 40. As an active member of the society, I can attest to the constant hard work that we put in every week towards advancing the field for our young colleagues, with results already palpable.
  •  Lastly, this edition was fully-aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, through nutrition-focused workshops and courses and even the first edition of the SNOMRun, cementing our belief that prevention is the most effective weapon in fighting cancer.

We cannot be more excited for what’s to come!”
