Viviana Cortiana Shares the Latest Episode of Voices in Lymphoma – Women Shaping Care
Viviana Cortiana, Med Student at Universiy of Bologna, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We are excited to share the latest episode of “Voices in Lymphoma – Women Shaping Care“, featuring Dr. Ann LaCasce (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School) and Dr. Judith Trotman (Concord Hospital Health System) on Career Development and Mentorship in Medicine.
It was incredibly meaningful to hear the stories behind two women who are not only inspiring and shaping the field of hematology-oncology but are also having a lasting impact on its future by inspiring the next generation, especially women. This episode reminded me of the profound impact mentorship can have, particularly at early stages and for women. It is not just about seeing a professional pathway reflected but also seeing a model that aligns with our values and ambitions.
“You can be what you can see,” Dr. Trotman told us. Mentors are indeed also a tangible, constant reminder that our aspirations can be real and achievable, often giving us the courage to take opportunities we might otherwise hesitate to pursue.
A big thank you to the whole Women in Lymphoma team for making this series possible and to MedNews Week and OncLive for all the work behind the scenes, organizing, and hosting.
