“Think Globally, Act Locally”: Vivek Subbiah Emphasizes International Partnerships in Precision Medicine

Vivek Subbiah, Chief of Early-Phase Drug Development at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“An inspiring visit to the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo, Brazil. Truly one of the most remarkable campuses I’ve seen recently! Wow! an architectural masterpiece designed by the same visionary behind the Singapore airport, plus it’s a center of excellence delivering world‑class cancer care.

Thanks to my outstanding mentee, now great friend and colleague, Dr. Roberto Carmagnani Pestana now a leading oncologist shaping the future of oncology and sarcoma care in Brazil, and to Dr. Juliana Rodrigues Beal who was part of the ESMOEuropean Society for Medical Oncology ETAC-S screening tool team for the generous tour and exceptional hospitality. Your passion, expertise, and warmth made this visit unforgettable.

Thanks to the entire oncology team for hosting me and it was a delight to witness the incredible work being done here and the commitment to advancing care for patients.

To advance precision oncology, we must think globally and act locally.”
