Virgílio Souza, Vice-Leader of the Colorectal Tumor Reference Center at A.C.Camargo Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We close the 6th International Symposium on Gastrointestinal Tumors, a meeting that brought together 10 international speakers, more than 50 Brazilian specialists and about 300 participants dedicated to the discussion of the main updates in the treatment of gastrointestinal tumors.
These were days of intense scientific exchange, with high-level debates on the advances that are transforming the care of patients with tumors of the gastrointestinal tract – reinforcing the fundamental role of continuing medical education, collaboration between specialists and multidisciplinary discussion.
For me, there was also a special significance. I had the opportunity to follow this project since its conception, and it is extremely gratifying to see how the symposium has grown and consolidated over the years.
I would like to thank the Brazilian Group of Gastrointestinal Tumors for their trust and for the opportunity to be part of this initiative.
With each edition, the symposium is strengthened and established as one of the most relevant events in Brazilian oncology, bringing together specialists committed to quality science and improving the care of our patients.
Congratulations to all colleagues involved in the organization and discussions.”
