Vilma Pacheco Barcia, Head of the Medical Oncology Department at Hospital Universitario La Luz, Gastrointestinal Cancer Unit at One Oncology Madrid Program, Quirónsalud, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Proud to share that our abstract on the RESILIENCE-SEOM study has been accepted for poster presentation at ESMO26, to be held in Madrid.
The study evaluates a structured intervention designed to prevent and mitigate burnout among early-career medical oncologists. We will present our baseline data and initial feasibility results, an important first step towards supporting the wellbeing and resilience of the next generation of oncology professionals.
Grateful to my Co-PI Yago Garitaonaindía, our psychologist collaborator Sonia Martinez, Elena Elez Fernández, Luis León Mateos, Sociedad Española de Oncología Médica (SEOM) and the commitment of all the participants who are generously contributing to this project. Thank you for making this work possible.
Looking forward to sharing our findings with the oncology community at ESMO26 in Madrid!
This study is funded by a Sociedad Española de Oncología Médica (SEOM) grant 2025.”
