Viktor Grünwald, Professor of Urologic Oncology at the University Hospital Essen, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored with colleagues published in ESMO Real World Data and Digital Oncology:
“Data from one of Europe’s largest cancer registries (LKR) included 73,751 patients with invasive UC:
- Histology-type and tumor stage drive relative survival in UC patients.
- SCC and other specific tumor types (including mixed histologies) had poor survival (32.3% and 23.8%, respectively)
- Embrace the gap – prospective trials in patients. With UC, subtypes are needed.”
