Victor Duque Santana: Pleasure to Attend the 2026 National Congress of the SEOR Held in Alicante

Victor Duque Santana, Radiation Oncologist at University Hospital Quironsalud Madrid, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“It was a real pleasure to attend the 2026 National Congress of the Spanish Society of Radiation Oncology (SEOR) held in Alicante.

During the congress, I had the opportunity to present the interim analysis of the phase III URONCOR 06-24 clinical trial:

‘Side Effects of Salvage Radiotherapy After Prostatectomy by Dose Fractionation: Interim Analysis of the Phase III URONCOR 06-24 Trial’, a study led by Felipe Couñago MD, PhD, evaluating the impact of different fractionation schedules on toxicity after salvage radiotherapy following prostatectomy.

I also presented the results of our study:

Radiotherapy and Immunotherapy Combinations for Unresectable Locally Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review of Published and Ongoing Clinical Trials from the Y-ECI ROSC EORTC Group’, conducted together with my colleagues from the Y-ECIROSC EORTC Group EORTC – European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer , reviewing the available evidence and ongoing clinical trials investigating radiotherapy and immunotherapy combinations in unresectable locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer.

In addition, together with Fernando López Campos, MD. PhD. MSc. , I had the privilege of leading the second edition of the URONCOR Mentoring Programme. Once again, this initiative highlighted the value of collaboration between professionals, with highly engaged mentor–mentee pairs and several very promising research ideas.

Congratulations to the organisers, speakers, and all colleagues who contributed to the outstanding scientific quality of this edition.

Looking forward to the next edition.”
