Vasanthi James, Head of Programmes at The Eve Appeal, shared on LinkedIn:
” Today is World Gynaecologic Oncology Day!
At The Eve Appeal, we see every day the power of research, awareness, and advocacy. The five gynaecological cancers still take far too many lives – but with early detection, innovative screening, and prevention strategies, many can be stopped before they start.
Today, we celebrate the researchers dedicated to advancing early detection and prevention, along with the advocacy groups – including all of our members of ESGO ENGAGe – who work tirelessly to challenge stigma, raise awareness, and empower people to speak up about their health.
Together, through collaboration between scientists, clinicians, patients, and advocates, we can change the story of gynaecological cancers – building a future where fewer people are diagnosed, more lives are saved, and generations to come are protected.”
