New Population-Based Ovarian Cancer Screening Initiative – UQCCR

The UQ Centre for Clinical Research shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Ovarian cancer screening study underway at UQCCR!

About 1,500 women across Queensland will be recruited for a new study laying the groundwork for a population-based ovarian cancer screening test.

The EARLY study, led by UQCCR experts Prof Carlos Salomon and Prof Andreas Obermair, aims to establish standardized protocols to support the development of reliable early detection methods for ovarian cancer, a disease that is often diagnosed at an advanced stage and associated with poor outcomes.

This important work represents a critical step toward improving early diagnosis and ultimately saving lives.

Learn more about the study and how to participate.”
