Ulrika Årehed Kågström, President of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), Secretary General/Generalsekreterare at Cancerfonden, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Join our webinar to learn more about the Swedish simulation tool NCDSim.
Following a successful event on the sidelines of the UN High-Level Meeting on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and Mental Health in New York last September, we are now hosting a webinar for everyone interested in learning more about the tool.
NCDSim was developed through a collaboration between the Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten), the Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden), and the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation (Hjärt-Lungfonden).
It demonstrates the power of data by providing concrete insights into how lifestyle-related risk factors may influence the future burden of cardiovascular disease and cancer. It also shows how preventive action can improve health outcomes while reducing healthcare costs over time.
Importantly, NCDSim is a tool with broad potential. It can be adapted and applied in different countries and regions, and there are opportunities for further development. During the webinar, Lisa Brouwers from the Public Health Agency of Sweden will share more about this potential in conversation with the Swedish Ambassador for Global Health Karin Tegmark Wisell.
If you would like to learn more, I warmly encourage you to register through the link in the comment section.”
