Union for International Cancer Control shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Nadine Saleeh of the Barbara Nassar Association for Cancer Patient Support, a UICC member, shares why cancer care in Lebanon, and around the world, must be dignified and focus on treating the person, not just the disease.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer that had already spread to her bones, Barbara Nassar experienced first-hand the challenges of navigating Lebanon’s public health system.
With the support of her husband, she transformed that experience into a movement and an association advocating for dignified, people-centred cancer care.
Her legacy lives on today through the Barbara Nassar Association for Cancer Patient Support.”
