Dr Nanise Sikiti on Improving Access to Gynaecological Cancer Care in Fiji and the Pacific Islands – UICC

Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:

” ‘What motivates me to do what I do is seeing women, Fijian women, who are dying of diseases that can be treated, and it makes me want to do more for them.’

Dr Nanise Sikiti, Gynaecological Oncologist, Lautoka Aspen Medical Hospital, is the first in-country trained gynaecological oncologist on the island nation of Fiji and the Pacific Islands, where women have previously had limited access to gynaecological cancer care.

See how she is setting an example to those around her and is advocating for women’s health on the island.

This content was produced for the IGCS – International Gynecologic Cancer Society, a UICC member, by BBC StoryWorks as part of the Rewriting Cancer series.”
