Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Unseen and Unheard is a film produced by the Teal Sisters Foundation, UICC members, that shines a light on the silent heroes of cancer care – caregivers.
Caregivers step into the hardest role, usually with no training, no support, and little recognition. Yet, they carry the weight of disrupted careers, lost income, fractured connections, and even stolen childhoods.
This film calls on everyone to recognise their sacrifice, honour their resilience, and include them as an essential part of the cancer care system.
“Caregivers deserve to be seen, heard, and valued because without them, the cancer care system will fail. They are the silent strength in cancer.”
Karen Nakawala, Cervical Cancer Survivor and Founder of the Teal Sisters Foundation. ”
