Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Nearly half of all cancer deaths are linked to modifiable risk factors.
UICC has consistently called for bold action to reduce preventable cancer deaths caused by tobacco use, alcohol, and ultra-processed foods—products aggressively marketed by industries prioritising their profit over public health.
Health taxes are proven, cost-effective measures to reduce consumption and save lives. Weakening commitments now means delaying progress on equity, prevention, and protection of the public and the most vulnerable.”
