Udhayvir Grewal Reports Heavy Drinking Increases Risk of Young-Onset Pancreatic Cancer

“Latest in Journal of Clinical Oncology.

Young-onset pancreatic cancer is rising. Nationwide Korean cohort of 6.2M adults (20–39y), heavy alcohol use (but not light/moderate drinking) was linked to higher risk (aHR ~1.19), showing a threshold effect. Alcohol consumption ≥3 times per week was associated with an increased risk (aHR, 1.23).”
