Tunch Akmandor: Discussions Around Survivorship, Prevention, and Translational Oncology at ESMO Breast Cancer 2026

Tunch Akmandor, Clinical Intern and PhD in Cancer Immunotherapy at Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“An inspiring day at ESMO Breast Cancer 2026 in Berlin surrounded by global leaders shaping the future of oncology and survivorship research.

A privilege to meet Dr. Neil Iyengar from the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University after his excellent session on lifestyle, mechanistic pathways, and breast cancer outcomes. The discussions around survivorship, prevention, and translational oncology were genuinely inspiring.

Moments like these remind me why international collaboration and academic visibility matter in cancer research and clinical medicine.

Emory University School of Medicine … hopefully coming soon.

And of course, conference mornings run on coffee courtesy of AstraZeneca.”
