The camp provided colorectal cancer (CRC) education and screening as well as blood pressure checks diabetes tests BMI measurements and a blood donation drive all aimed at encouraging early detection healthy living and timely medical care.
This milestone would not have been possible without the great effort of our medical team volunteers community champions and partners including Cardinal Rugambwa Hospital Ocean Road Cancer Institute local radio stations and district health offices. A special thanks goes to the Medical In-Charge of Cardinal Rugambwa Hospital Sr. Dr. Sarah Deogratius for her leadership and support which made this camp a success.
With everyone’s support we were able to give care counseling and referrals while spreading the message that early detection saves lives. This achievement shows our commitment to closing the cancer care gap and giving communities knowledge access and hope. Together we can keep working for a future where no one is left behind in the fight against cancer.
Our campaign sponsor is Global Colon Cancer Association under the presidency of Nicole Sheahan.”
