“I had the privilege to present two research projects at American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting this year in San Diego. I co-led these projects with my team in the USC Choices Lab and sharing our findings through posters and papers is a meaningful part of the research process.
- We evaluated the effectiveness of recruiting participants from the EHR vs community outreach for lung cancer risk research.
- We assessed clinical trial knowledge and beliefs among cancer patients before and after an education intervention.
Special thanks to our PI, Chanita Hughes Halbert, and co-authors Kelsie Campbell, MPH, Diana Morales, and Alexandra Lindgren.
Other highlights of AACR: It was great to talk with other researchers interested in health education, cancer prevention, early detection, and screening initiatives.
Let’s go! Fight on!”
