Triparna Sen, Professor and the Max Morehouse Endowed Chair in Cancer Research at The Ohio State University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I had the privilege of moderating the LungSphere Thoracic Leadership Exchange in Chicago on the final day of ASCO 2026, bringing together trainees and faculty across career stages for an open conversation on leadership and professional growth in thoracic oncology.
We discussed:
- Navigating career transitions
- Building an authentic professional presence
- Overcoming imposter syndrome
- Preventing burnout and building resilience
- Developing partnerships and collaborative networks that amplify impact
One of the highlights was that the conversation continued long after the session ended, with participants staying to share experiences, exchange advice, and make new connections. It was a powerful reminder that leadership is built not in isolation, but through mentorship, community, and collaboration.
Thank you to my fellow faculty, our sponsors, and everyone who contributed so thoughtfully to this exchange. I left inspired and optimistic about the future leaders of thoracic oncology.”
