Tracey O’Brien, Chief Cancer Officer and CEO of Cancer Institute NSW, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It’s a privilege to share this year’s Cancer in NSW report – a powerful snapshot of the remarkable cancer control activities taking place across our state.
Launched by NSW Minister for Health, Ryan Park, the report highlights some of the people, partnerships, and progress happening across our state. Each person’s story and every statistic is a reminder of the hope we are creating and the lives we are touching.
While produced by the Cancer Institute NSW, it is not about a single organisation. Collaboration remains the greatest strength of our state’s cancer system and each page showcases how innovation, equity and teamwork are at the heart of our collective achievements.
My sincere thanks to everyone whose expertise and unique perspectives enriched this publication. While only showing a snapshot of the work being done across the state, this report demonstrates what’s possible when we work together towards a future beyond cancer.
