Toufic Kachaamy, Chief of Medicine and Director of Gastroenterology at City of Hope, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This weekend, I had the profound honor of sharing the stage alongside the incredible Dr. Christina Gomez and an inspirational survivor who is deeply passionate about prevention. Standing by her side was truly humbling. Her courage in sharing her story and commitment to prevention reinforce why awareness, early detection, and compassionate advocacy matter so deeply.
My heartfelt gratitude goes to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance and the amazing walk organizing committee for allowing me to serve with them.
Kudos also to the City of Hope remarkable team for their unwavering support in advancing colorectal cancer prevention.
This walk is another commitment is changing lives, empowering families, and strengthening our collective fight against this disease.
Together, we can continue to inspire action, encourage screening, and create more stories of survival and hope.
Colorectal cancer is impacting younger and younger adults. The impact and suffering is preventable through screening.
If you have a colorectal cancer prevention success story, please share it in the comments, your story could be the one that inspires someone to get screened.”
