Todd Harper, CEO at Cancer Council Victoria, shared on LinkedIn:
“Thanks to Leukaemia Foundation for hosting today’s Leukaemia Awareness Week event at Parliament House.
Special thank you to Eden Foster, Candice and Kate for sharing their personal stories highlighting the profound impact of cancer on every aspect of life: family, health, work, financial, and emotional. Thanks also to Chris Tanti for hosting today’s event.
The stories shared today are another reminder of the importance of the Victorian Patient Transport Assistance Scheme (VPTAS) in providing reimbursements for regional patients travelling for treatment.
Victoria’s reimbursements are the lowest in Australia, and why Cancer Council Victoria is partnering with Leukaemia Foundation and 16 other health organisations to improve reimbursements for regional patients.”
