“Today, the team at Cancer Council Victoria came together to celebrate Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea — a moment to connect and reflect on the work that matters deeply to us all.
With one in two Victorians diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, cancer touches all of us in some way. As we shared morning tea and enjoyed our annual bake-off, we also reflected on the personal connections so many of us have to cancer — loved ones we have lost, people facing diagnosis and treatment, those caring for someone with cancer, and those who are living with and beyond cancer.
It was a reminder that behind every cancer diagnosis is a person, a family, a community.
