Tiffany Choy: Thesis Projects Part of a Bigger Purpose

Tiffany Choy, PhD Candidate at Baylor College of Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Last week, I had the opportunity to present my thesis work as a minisymposium speaker at the AACR Annual Meeting in San Diego. As a first-time attendee, the scale of it all was a lot to take in. Being surrounded by so many scientists across so many cancer fields made me feel small, but in a way, reminded me that the work we each do, however incremental, is a part of something much bigger. I’m back in the lab now, feeling inspired, with fresh ideas and a renewed sense of purpose for my own project.

A special thank you to my advisor Dr. Hyun Kyoung Lee for her unwavering support of my growth as a scientist, to Baylor College of Medicine for such a rewarding PhD experience so far, and to the American Association for Cancer Research for the opportunity to share my work with this community.

I’m incredibly grateful for this experience and hope to be back in the coming years!”
