“I’m always baffled about the fact that endometrial cancer is more prevalent than cervical and ovarian cancer combined – in high-income countries at least. Interestingly, this is not limited to Western high-income countries but also applies to places like Taiwan.
Our case study on endometrial cancer in Taiwan has just been released!
It summarizes key characteristics, challenges across the care pathway, and provides high-level policy recommendations to address this less well-known cancer type! For example, did you know that the incidence of endometrial cancer increased about fivefold and mortality nearly sixfold between 2000 and 2022 – all while there was little improvement in survival?
Joint work with Andrea Manzano and Argyro Pavlidou.
