The Mark Foundation for Cancer Research shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Yesterday, we kicked off the 2026 Mark Symposium!
Our programming included:
- A deep dive into brain tumors: Peter Sorger, Mario Suva, and Dimitris Mathios shared how spatial analysis and liquid biopsies are changing the game for glioblastoma detection and treatment.
- An exploration of cancer across the lifespan: Kornelia Polyak, Kamila Naxerova, and Scott Lowe discussed their work at the intersection of aging and cancer research.
- A keynote address from Nobel Laureate William Kaelin Jr., MD, who shared fascinating insights on the frontiers of cancer science.
We closed out the day by honoring the legendary Samuel Waxman for his remarkable scientific career and leadership as the founder of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.
Cheers to the future of the Waxman Institute for Aging and Cancer, now officially a branch of The Mark Foundation!”
