The Lancet Regional Health – Eastern Mediterranean shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Introducing The Lancet Regional Health – Eastern Mediterranean, a new gold open access journal promoting the advancement of clinical practice and health policy in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all people regionally and globally and aspire to increase the quality of research in Eastern Mediterranean countries and across the region. Our journal is managed by in-house editors based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, working in collaboration with our global editorial team.
‘The Lancet Regional Health – Eastern Mediterranean will showcase timely and relevant evidence-based research and opinion that can shape health care and health-related agendas and catalyse action within the region. The journal’s launch coincides with a critical moment for the region, with escalating conflict threatening health systems and the communities they serve. My aim is to develop a journal that will serve as the pre-eminent venue for thoughtful dialogue within and between countries — to generate actionable insights that will drive improvements in health outcomes and policy, strengthen health systems, and improve lives.’ – Sarah Aleyan, Chief Editor.”
