Tatevik Margaryan: Stories Like This Remind us Why We Do What We Do

Tatevik Margaryan, Ambassador at The Max Foundation and Head of Department of Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Health Promotion at National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), shared The Max Foundation’s post on LinkedIn, adding:

“Stories like this remind us why we do what we do.

In Armenia, a grandmother who once worked as a chemical engineer now prepares lunches for bank workers. Beyond her daily work, she carries another title with quiet strength: Survivor.

After being diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), she faced uncertainty and the challenge of limited access to specialized care. Yet, thanks to the partnership between The Max Foundation and BeOne Medicines, she found the treatment, support, and hope she needed to keep going.

On World CLL Day, we honour her courage and the resilience of all those living with blood cancers around the world. Her journey is a powerful reminder of why equitable access to care matters and why no one should face cancer alone.

Take a moment to watch her story—it’s a testament to the impact of compassion, collaboration, and innovation in global health.”

Quoting The Max Foundation’s post:

“In Armenia, a grandmother who once worked as a chemical engineer now prepares lunches for bank workers. But her most important role? Survivor.

After being diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), she faced uncertainty and limited access to care. But with support and treatment through our partnership with BeOne Medicines, she found strength.

Watch her powerful story of resilience.

On World CLL Day, we stand with her, and with everyone around the world living with CLL. Because no one should face cancer alone.”
