Tami Eagle Bowling, MBC Patient Advocate and The Founder and Motivational Speaker of The EAGLE Method, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This week’s The Janice Jam: Broadway for Breast Cancer raised more than $143,000 for metastatic breast cancer research benefiting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
I was honored to share my story alongside an incredible lineup of talent, including Olympic Gold Medalist turned Broadway star Laurie Hernandez and the amazing Tony-nominated Norm Lewis, while standing in solidarity with fellow metastatic breast cancer thrivers and advocates.
One of the most emotional moments of the evening was the beautiful Onco-Ballet performance while Kara Lindsay and Christine Dwyer from Wicked sang ‘For Good.’ Another unforgettable highlight was watching my own daughter perform on stage for a cause so personal to our family. (More on that to come!) .
Held at Sony Hall and livestreamed by Playbill, the evening was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together around a shared purpose.
During my remarks, I shared a few elements of The EAGLE Method and the belief that giving our time, voices, and support to others helps create a life filled with meaning and purpose.
Grateful to the corporate partners, volunteers, performers, producers, and the entire team who helped make this unforgettable evening possible – Bryan Campione, Matt DeAngelis, Anna Wassman, Katrina Marvin Johnson, Sally Wolf, Christine W., Sadia Haque Zapp, Katie Rosin․”
