Sushmita Sen, Principal Director, Scientific Alliances at Roche, Podcast Host at The Invisibles Project, Board Advisor and Mentor at TeamXHealth, shared on LinkedIn:
“Thrilled to be at my very first ISTH Congress and getting to know the amazing Hemophilia community!
I have been fascinated with finding similarities and synergies with other areas of the work I do. Some of areas we can all work together on are:
- Early Career Professionals: There is an urgent need to support and provide strong mentorship to early career professionals in Hematology to maintain a sustainable pipeline in both Research and ClinicalCare
- Innovation in Clinical Trial Design: The current paradigm of Evidence Generation needs to truly serve people with Rare Conditions. It is important to share learnings from other areas such as oncology to shape regulatory frameworks for improved patient outcomes.
- Person-centered Care: The interdisciplinary aspect of care was quite striking throughout the sessions especially the links with Oncology and Cardiology. Frameworks to support a multidisciplinary approach to care will shape all aspects of meaningful Patient Care.
Lastly, I’m super proud of the hard work behind the scenes by my colleagues at Roche to double down on our Commitment to improve lives of people with Hemophilia and rare Hematological Disorders.”
