Susanna Fletcher Greer, Chief Scientific Officer of the V Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Some of the best ideas happen around a lunch table. Esp one in the ATL. One of my favorite parts of this job is bringing together incredible people who share a passion for improving the lives of patients with cancer.
Today, I had the pleasure of having lunch with Joya Delgado Harris, Director of the Colorectal Cancer Care Initiative at Fight Colorectal Cancer, Dr. Charles R. Rogers, a former V Foundation grantee and Founder and Chief Advisor of Rogers Solutions Group, and Dr. Tiana N. Rogers, PhD, CEO of Rogers Solutions Group and an accomplished researcher and leader in impact measurement, community engagement, and health equity.
Although we come from different organizations, our conversation kept returning to the same themes: improving cancer care, eliminating disparities, building meaningful partnerships, and ensuring that scientific discovery translates into better outcomes for every patient.
Cancer research doesn’t advance because of any one organization or any one individual. It moves forward because people with different expertise choose to work together, challenge one another, and build something bigger than themselves. Grateful for the opportunity to spend time with these remarkable leaders, and even more excited about what might come from continuing the conversation.”
