Susanna Fletcher Greer, Chief Scientific Officer of the V Foundation, shared The V Foundation’s post on LinkedIn, adding:
“As Chief Scientific Officer, I have a lot of pride in what the V Summit for Cancer Research has become.
At its core, the Summit is about our researchers. It’s a chance to bring them together not just to share their science, but to grow as leaders, to strengthen how they communicate their work, and to connect with our board, our donors, and each other.
I think back to when I started my own lab. It was exciting, but it was also isolating. I remember feeling like the challenges I was facing were mine alone. Building a team, managing people and budgets, trying to move big ideas forward. It turns out almost every early-stage investigator feels that same weight.
What makes the V Summit so meaningful is that it changes that experience. It creates a community. It gives the V Foundation grantees the opportunity to learn from one another, to build confidence, and to see that they’re not in this alone.
And that matters, because when we support researchers in this way, we’re not just investing in their careers. We’re accelerating the work that leads to better treatments, better outcomes, and more hope for patients and families facing cancer.
That’s what makes me most proud.”
Quoting The V Foundation’s post:
“The V Foundation for Cancer Research Summit is turning this year!
The V Summit is a powerful testament to our mission: bringing together the best and brightest scientists from the nation’s top institutions to accelerate Victory Over Cancer and save lives.
100% of direct donations go directly to these game-changing researchers. Take a look at what our first V Summit was like in 2016.”
