Susanna Fletcher Greer, Chief Scientific Officer of the V Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“As 2025 comes to a close, I keep thinking about how much of our progress against cancer comes down to science and to the people who do it.
Every meaningful advance starts with a researcher asking a hard question and staying with it long after it stops being comfortable. The treatments reaching patients today exist because scientists were willing to test bold ideas, follow the data, and keep going when the answers were not obvious.
I get to work alongside researchers who are constantly pushing the possible, and it has only strengthened my belief that science is still our most powerful tool for changing outcomes. We are seeing earlier detection, smarter therapies, and more precise immunotherapy approaches reshape care across cancer types.
At the center of all of this are the patients and families living with cancer. You are what gives this work its meaning.
As we close out 2025 and look ahead to 2026, I am grateful for this community and look forward to sharing new research outcomes and progress with you in the year ahead.
Happy New Year!”
