“Such a proud moment to see two of my clinical research associates, Ben Mercier (UC San Diego) and Yu-Jun Li (Harvard University), transition from my group at City of Hope to my alma mater, the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (photo from their white coat ceremony this weekend).
Hard to believe that I was standing on that same lawn 27 years ago.
Ben spent 3 years with me (and worked with the amazing Yun Rose Li as well!), and Michelle spent 1 year – both had tremendous impact, with multiple presentations and publications. They will be missed. It’s just the beginning of two phenomenal careers!”
