“This year has been a transformational one for me.
After visiting Atul Batra at AIIMS (New Delhi), I realized (and should have sooner) the potential for deep, meaningful international collaborations. We had a brilliant meeting at City of Hope to ensue and now meeting every other week to discuss evolving projects.
I am thrilled to see ASCO offering such strong support of international vision – at ASCO26, former president Dr. Eric Small stood on the main stage and insisted that we must work to translate the discoveries happening in isolated parts of the world to improvement in cancer care throughout. A part of this initiative is the Ross Asdourian Daily News podcast, which spells out Atul Batra’s thoughts on how we can date the ASCO26 plenaries and implement (now or in the future) worldwide.

“This past December, I was invited to AIIMS (New Delhi) by Atul Batra to a stellar GU meeting, where I (along with Neeraj Agarwal and Petros Grivas) met terrific scholars from all over India. I saw unlimited potential for rich research collaborations – upon returning, I set up the meeting below to bring together select representatives from City of Hope, AIIMS (New Delhi), Tata Memorial Hospital, ASCO, FDA and SWOG to try and hash out the details.
